[chirp_users] Programming guide for beginners

Understood but miklor.com starts from the beginning for many
Chirp users who seem to have problems with cables and drivers
for the influx of all these Chinese hand helds. I guess my skills
have advanced too far to remember what the newbie faced
and I can appreciate that and anyone who would want to put
together another beginner's guide.

No you're just jumping too far ahead. There are many details that need 
to be handled, not the least of which is the setup and loading of cable 
drivers, making sure you have
the right version, and so on. It's not so obvious for a newcomer, which 
is what this little project is all about
