Why don't you just build your memory images from a collection of memory
images? CHIRP's tabbed interface will let you load multiple images at the
same time. You can easily copy and paste between tabs. If the tabs are from
the same radio model, no channel specific settings are lost. And there is
no need to import, export or even use excel.
