[drats_users] What do I Tell my Friends??

The packet capability in D-RATS is very basic at this time and only works between two KISS TNCs and will not pass through a digi.......YET.  It will definitely not do APRS and doesn't need to since the position reporting is built in to D-RATS.  If the full packet functionality could be built into D-RATS, it would be the most powerful application out there bridging the packet and D-STAR world.  Maybe someday.  Dan has been very good to build in the basics and may expand that in the future.

I am trying to get several other hams who are also in our local RACES group to give D-Rats a try. So far they continue working on getting packet up and working locally. But, are showing no interest in using D-Rats. What else can I tell the as to why they should try D-Rats?
