So, just so you know, on my test MacOS system, I'm able to start D-RATS
continuously (as I mentioned), and send Weather Underground QSTs, and
view the debug log via the help menu without trouble.

What version of MacOS are you running?

Hopefully the debug log will provide some answers :)
