Hi Richard,

You didn't say which d-rats version. If it's the release version (0.3.2) 
please try the latest beta version and see if that solves your problem. 
Almost all Linux distributions "updated" GTK (Ubuntu in V10.04) and it  
causes this exact problem, documented in tickets #245 
<http://trac.d-rats.com/trac/ticket/245> and #318.

You can download the latest beta with this URL:
http://www.d-rats.com/apt/dists/karmic/beta/binary-i386/d-rats_0.3.3b5-1_i386.deb

You can also add the beta apt repo by following the instructions on the 
d-rats web page and substituting:
deb http://d-rats.com/apt karmic beta
for the APT line.
