[drats_users] Chat 'Forms'...

Debbie,

Thanks for your response.  I'm still trying to learn all the functionality of D-rats. I will try the 'broadcast text file' the next time we have a training net.  We tried sending Missing Person reports using the Memo Form during training nets and found it to be too slow, especially during the occasional 'frantic situations' like a missing child at an air show. I was thinking it would be helpful to have a message template for immediate broadcast into the chat screen.  I suppose it could become chaotic, if missused. But it would be great to just call up a missing person template; enter all the ID fields and broadcast it.  It would certainly work well in a simplex net. (Especially when the F-22 Raptor makes voice comms impossible).

Any information is greatly appreciated...

Is there a reason that the "broadcast text file" option (in the File menu) doesn't work for this?  You feed it a text file, and it goes to everyone's chat window, at least the time I tried it.
