You don't reinstall it.  You can delete it (as you did) and/or you can 
delete your settings to start fresh (which is what you want to do).

There are instructions in the troubleshooting (or reporting bugs) 
section of the FAQ on the website that talk about how to find your 
config file.  Locate and delete.
