Hi Cary,
We've only been building the binary-i386 32bit packages for Ubuntu and
Fedora. I believe they should run fine on your machine. I run the i386
32 bit packages on my Fedora 12 x86_64 machine and it works OK.
That said, I'm not as familiar with the Ubuntu software as I am with
Fedora, so please bear with me here, I may ask what appear to be dumb
questions:
1. You've added the d-rats apt repository per the Dan's instructions,
right?
http://www.d-rats.com/component/content/article/31-d-rats-apt-repository/
In addition to the release repository, you should also add the beta if
you want to run the beta releases as well (same instructions, only
replace 'release' with 'beta'.
2. Is there a way to force the package manager to use the binary-i386
packages? If not, maybe we need to ask Dan to establish the appropriate
sym links in the repository to make it look like the amd64 packages are
there.
Failing that, I could send you the .deb file and you could do a local
install.
