 This can be closed.  What I found was it was a glitch that was probably
 riding on the miss fire of the 0.3.1 version that came out with no maps.
 I could not put markers on the map because it would only allow "misc"
 categories to be placed.  I checked and there was no excel file for the
 "misc" only "stations".  I copied "station" and created a "misc" and then
 put that in the folder and then it appeared as a selection and now works.
 I had downloaded the corrected 0.3.1 version after the map issue was done
 and that worked fine on that computer so it was probably interrelated to
 the missing maps issue.
