That's always the expected update procedure.

It's under appearance (not that that makes any sense, now that I think
of it).

Yes, it was just easier to do an initial test with the chat bit.
Perhaps we need a separate check box for chat and messages, which could
be placed under the respective preferences groups and thus be less
confusing :)

Thanks.

No, any of those things should be stored in your profile, not the
installation directory.

It doesn't poll, it continuously reads the data stream in a thread. It
*should* update the current position as soon as it receives that
information from the GPS (which happens as fast as the GPS can cycle
through its data at 4800 baud). Yes, the point is to enable a moving
D-RATS station to remain current.

It's not a workaround. The email access rules are there to prevent
arbitrary remote stations from sending email through your email account.
Adding the "*" rule to allow anyone to send anything is your choice,
but I think it's important to keep that access restriction in place so
that people that don't want that behavior can restrict it.

What do you think?

Yes, I think I responded to at least one of those, sorry if I didn't.
Thanks very much for forwarding those and saving me from having to join
the cult, er, club :)

I was rather disappointed with the level of detail and information
contained in those documents. I would have hoped that six or eight
"lessons" from the WL2K gurus would have been more informative.

Thanks!
