Hmm, I'm not aware of any specific checks in place that would prevent
that from working.  I'll have to play with it and see.

I assume you're talking about the right-click actions in the station
sidebar (everything else just has a port selector to determine which
port is used).  If you want those right-click actions to start to work
on the other port, just ping the station on the new port (File->Ping)
and if they reply, then the "last heard" port of that station will
switch to the new one and any further right-click actions will go over
the new port.  Does that make sense and/or does it answer the question?
