Look at NBEMS (FLDIGI and FLARQ programs) at http://www.w1hkj.com/NBEMS/

I have used this software to pull Winlink emails from the RMS Relay buffer
and send them via HF to another station who then dropped them in to his
Relay buffer for sending on to the Winlink system.  NBEMS can handle binary
files, all the ARQ/error checking & correcting is built in.  Written for
Linux with versions for XP and Vista.  Very nice applications.  I don't see
why it would not work spiffy with a saved D-Rats message the same way.
Perhaps the NBEMS programmers would be open to working some hooks to D-RATS
to make it even easier?
