Hi Joe,
Thanks for the information. I think that would be one solution, but the
ideal situation would be to take a drats file, export it to the data
program, send via hf and then inport it back into drats. 
It is true that drats will end a text file but getting the data back into
drats becomes a labor intensive process (re-entry).
The real challenge will be to get the data to the distant end in the error
free!

I am new to the list and D-Rats.

As a matter fact I have never used D-rats but am hoping to get my club's
station up and

running in a couple of weeks.

 

I saw your post and deleted it then got to thinking. There are some programs
that use the PSK modes

that will allow you to create a text file. It saves everything that is
transmitted and received to a test

file. I think D-Rats allows you to send a text file. You would be able to do
what you want that.

You may not be able to send a form but you could get traffic passed in text
format.
