I just re-read what you said here and realized I misinterpreted your
comment.  When you run it with -C the repeater starts up and goes into
"on" mode immediately as there is no GUI.  So, you start it once
manually with the GUI, set up the configuration as you wish, and then
start it later with -C.  It will use the pre-set configuration and go
immediately into operation.

That's what you want, right?

I'm working on the auto-reconnect now...


Ok Dan, The script  using -C did not work out here. The interesting thing is
that with the repeater GUI and having been disconnected from the ratflector
for hours; The off-On again function always restores the connection regardless
 of the 30 second period you spoke of(maybe that was just referring to localhost). 

A built in timed restart in the py GUI code to give a gui option would have been nice
if the reconnect feature does not work out.

We will see :)
