I'm not sure which way you're leaning here.  You think that the current
UI is more intuitive or the new one is?

The current UI continues to limit the ability to add new features and
has gotten really messy (internally) because it has grown so far beyond
its initial design.  That's my motivation for pushing for the re-write.
 That, and most people will recognize a typical e-mail program layout
for message sending.
