[drats_users] Correctly configuring D-Rats to talk to myself

All I can say is that I *have* done what you're trying to do, and it
*does* work. Can't tell from the description here what's wrong,
though... I did some data rate testing between an IC-91AD and an ID-800H
with two Windows boxes running D-RATS quite some time ago, and it
worked... I did have what you're doing and used two different
"callsigns" for myself.
