[drats_users] Problem sending GPS coordinates

I hooked up my external Garmin GPS device to COM1. I set the baud rate to 4800 within D-rats and on the COM port.
I selected the button to: Update position from external GPS. I also confirmed that the Garmin is set NMEA
 input/output at 4800.
 
I setup a QST, type 'GPS', but no GPS data is being transmitted.  I looked at the Map function and it shows my
location as 0.0000 0.0000.
 
Any ideas why its not working?
