G'day All,

I've placed a HOWTO on the D-RATS wiki
(http://d-rats.danplanet.com/wiki/DPRS-Interface) which explains how to
connect D-RATS to DPRS Interface, developed by Pete Loveall AE5PL. This
may be of interest to D-STAR users who wish to pass DPRS traffic to the
APRS-IS in areas where there are no Internet connected D-STAR repeaters,
or alternatively wish to pass DPRS traffic received on a simplex
frequency to the APRS-IS.

By interfacing the 2 applications DPRS traffic that is received by a
D-STAR radio can be gated into the APRS-IS network as well as be seen on
the D-RATS Station Map simultaneously.

I've been using the combined system over the last few days to help
ascertain coverage of our local D-STAR repeater that doesn't have an
Internet connection and it has been working quite well.

Thanks to Pierre VE2PRT for confirming the appropriate port to point
D-RATS to.

Regards,
