Right.  This is the way it was with the button too, it probably just 
wasn't as noticeable.  I'll see about spawning off a thread to do that...

Yeah, let me elaborate on this change a bit.

First, it sometimes takes quite a bit of explanation for new folks to 
enable debugging, find the log, etc.  By always doing the debug logging, 
and providing an easy way to get to it from the GUI, things are simpler.

The reason the location had to change is because I need to start the 
logging before I load any of the libraries that may generate debug 
information.  This means I need to start it before I load and parse the 
configuration file, so I need to stick it in a place I know is sane.
