[chirp_users] chirp release email links

I know Firefox and Chrome will try http: and if that fails try https 
before failing.  Not sure about Microsoft browsers, try not to use them.

But I think what is being referred to is, it's easy to program a website 
to auto-redirect http: to https: within the code inside the site.  And 
is what is being assumed here.
