[chirp_users] MacOS CHIRP won't launch solution.

A few days ago I saw some email exchanges where some people with MacOS , presumably running Mojave or earlier are having problems getting it to start at all.  It would quietly fail without any errors.
There is actually a solution posted months ago.     I’m wondering since this is a known issue, why haven’t this 2 character modification fix been pushed in the macOS default code branch?
