(1) The first thing you must do with CHIRP is download from the radio to
create an image (.img file) for CHIRP to use for your radio. Save-As that
file in a safe place to have it available to restore the radio later if
needed. Name it something like "FT-7100 Initial Download Image 03-20-2020"
(2) Make the changes you want using the CHIRP editor, and then save that
file with something like "FT-7100 Changes 03-30-2010"
(3) Upload your newly modified image file to the radio.
