[chirp_users] Help for newb continued”Checksum

I got rid of chirp pkg from Ubuntu and installed daily via ppa as per instructions. I get “Checksum Failed [0000-1FB9 (@1FBA)]”
Same every time. I am using cable from Mirkit. Help appreciated.
