Hi Mike,

Apparently you either aren't using CHIRP or aren't using the CHIRP I
am familiar with. When I started using CHIRP back in 2012 it supported
Windows serial ports COM1 through COM16. More than most any other
factory software that I has experience with at the time. Not long
after that CHIRP was updated and Windows version now has support for
COM1 through COM256.

But CHIRP will only show you the COM ports that are currently
available on your computer. It is your job to have a configured and
properly working COM port on your computer.
