Hi Jim,
Thanks for the quick reply.

I think the cable is is in all the way.  I'm receiving an immediate 
error from Chirp and not a time out, which I would think would be Chirp 
triggering the radio to clone and not seeing the expected result back.

Is there a debug or raw dump I can log to verify that the radio and PC 
are talking as expected and compare that to the known return that the 
radio should be giving?
