Dan,

Right after you updated the download page, the next time CHIRP was
launched, a message appeared that indicated there was a new CHIRP
version available even though you were already running the latest
version. It happened on all my CHIRP installations. But this was only
a 1-time message. The next time CHIRP daily-20150814 was launched
after that, there was no longer any "upgrade" message.
