You can load you friend's BFB321 image into a second tab. Then you can
copy-and-paste the channels from the BFB231 tab to the BFS313 tab.
Then upload the BFS313 tab back to your radio.

The method that I prefer would be to "Import" the channels from the
BFB231 image into a tab that was created from your BFS313 radio.

1 click "File" in the menu bar
2 click "Import" from the menu that appears
3 click the button that shows "CHIRP Files (*.chirp)" and select
"CHIRP Radio Images (*.ing)" from the list
4 locate and load you friends "image" file
5 make any desired changes to the "Import From File" menu
6 click the [OK] button
