Also, are you trying to upload the same data file that you downloaded
from the radio, or are you try to upload a file that came from a
different radio? The error you are getting is the one you would get
when you try to upload a CHIRP Radio Image (*.img) file that was save
from a radio with BFB firmware into a radio with N5R firmware. If that
is the case, you must not do that and that it why CHIRP is preventing
it.

Instead, you can download from your radio into CHIRP and then use File
-> Import -> change the file mask to "CHIRP Radio Images (*.img)" and
then find and import the "master" .img file that you are trying to put
into your radio. An alternate to that would be to load the "master"
file into a second tab allow you to copy-and-paste the channels
between the tabs.
