ANL?  As in Automatic Noise Limiter?  This is an FM radio receiver, that
feature is part of the discriminator circuit.  You should have no noise
except for weak signals or for signals which were weak when they were
repeated by a strong repeater station.

Is this what you are asking for or are you asking for an adjustment of the
squelch circuit which turns off the audio when there is no or only a very
weak signal?
