First, depending on which radio you have, flashing the firmware is more than likely out of the question, so let’s take the simple approach.
Even if a radio has the same basic model number an appearance, there’s a good chance that the .image files are not compatible.
You will need to create and initial starting point by creating a new template for that radio.
Then copy/paste the channel data from one template to another.
The other possibility is export/import the .csv file from one to the other.

I still cant program the radio, it is not uploading tot he newer radios from my older img. the older img is the only one that I have, I have tried to read intot he fix but I really think I am in need of some step by step help. I am not as experienced as many of the guys on the forums and such and need a bit more guidance as to if I can flash the new radio with older frimware and the location of it if it exist.
