Yeah. You typically don't want the compander enabled. That setting
only affects the VFO and when you are programming channels using the
keypad.

To get to this setting in CHIRP, you right-click on a memory and then
select Edit from the dialog box that pops up. That will allow you to
check to make sure it isn't enabled.
