[chirp_users] Baofeng uv-5r plus not able to read from

I am wondering if the radio is being connected correctly.  My process is:
radio off start chirp
connect cable to radio
turn on radio
connect cable to USB port
click on radio in chirp and follow instructions
Works for me with Ubuntu and a UV5RC
