[chirp_users] Problem reported with Windows download?

It also matters where you downloaded it from.
Was it downloaded from chirp.danplanet.com?
Is he sure that he doesnt have a pre-existing virus/infection (dns-redirect,etc) which attaches or replaces anything downloaded w/ malware?
Is he sure that he doesnt have some sort of scamware which alerts you that you are infected by some nasties with every step of your daily internet journey (and to pay 50 EURO by western union, etc to remove)?

One person on the list replied as follows, suggesting that there is malware in the Chirp download. Since I don't have a Windows machine, there's no way I could verify that. Is there any possibility that the Chirp download got hijacked? Or is this guy just spreading FUD to get people to buy other software?
