That's what I figured. I'm doing online support
for an American importer. I have two radios
that so far I haven't been asked to pay for.
The first radio #19 off the production line
has quite a few bugs but most of them are
left side of radio band vs right side band.
I own the Yahoo news group for the radio.
We are 500+ members strong now that the
radios are being imported and sold. I would
need to ask the importer but I might be able
to give up the early production radio and the
USB-Serial cable to a developer as long as
I had some kind of guarantee that it would
be returned. I really abhor Anytone's joke
software. It lacks many features that can be
manually programmed into the radio. And It
crashes if you modify a file then try to upload
it to the radio. You have to first save that file
then open the saved file before you can write.
So yes if the importer says I can loan the radio
and I get something legal in writing saying it
will be returned upon request I can help in this way.

Let me know what you think. Also, I don't know your
position in the development team. Are you just a user
or do you actually develop builds that include new
radios? Is there another maybe higher up in the hierarchy
of developers I should be in contact with? You can email
me off list with detailed information if you have it.

Thanks, Phil.
