Look at http://www.wouxun.com. Click on the KG-UV6D on the left bar. Scroll down and you'll see they list 8 variations of frequency ranges.

tks tom. i didn't even realize that folks not working the project could register. i've registered now. 
so are you saying that the frequency range of the uv6x model is or is not worth adding as a comment to the feature request i cited? i do realize there are at least a half-dozen, if not more, variations on the uv6d--i nearly got caught by that myself when i got the uv6d, but lucked out by getting the 420-520 range.

in any case, the version sold by powerwerx as the uv6x is a very popular variant (i liked the uv6d so much i added the uv6x as a second unit) and i hadn't seen that particular freq range in any of the other models. i think powerwerx works directly with wouxon so that they can offer a unique variation.

Once you're logged in, click Update at the bottom of the issue page to
add a reply.

This request is for Chirp to differentiate the multitude of KG-UV6
variants so that Chirp accepts the same frequency range as the radio.
