That tells the driver to claim a different device ID than it was
expecting. I didn't realize you were using the USB versions of your
cables, but that makes sense. Icom uses legitimate chips in their
cables, but changes the vendor/product ID so that it doesn't "look" like
any other prolific device. Your fix makes perfect sense, and I'm glad to
hear it resolved things for you!
