[chirp_users] latest build trouble on MacOS

With today's daily build? It seems to work here (approximating the 
execution on Linux).

Can you run it with tracing enabled? From the terminal, something like:

   bash -x chirp-daily-10262011.app/Contents/MacOS/chirp-daily-10262011

That would help figure out what's going on.
