 While throwing an error is certainly better than writing the wrong file
 type, it seems to be a bit odd to throw an error based on what's typed in
 the file name part of the dialog box when I've already selected what type
 of file export I want (from the menu), and there is a file type selection
 in the dialog box (at least the linux gtk file dialog box) that says csv
 Files (*.csv).
