I opened these as separate bugs. One for the settings page and one for the sluggishness and checkbox issues on the banks page. I hope that's okay. If there's not enough detail (e.g. about my platform), let me know.

There was one other UI issue I didn't mention in the last message. The vendor and model dropdowns in the radio download/upload dialogs are cut off for me. I think that's probably due to my high DPI display. I opened a bug for that too.
