<DIV>Don,</DIV>

<DIV>I am not sure if the following is what you are asking but you can send
files using dstar and at the same time as you are talking if you wish. We
have done that several times. What I don’t know is if the file takes
longer than when one is talking what happens. I assume the repeater
stays up unless timed out but the person on the other end wound not
hear any voice but should have some indication that the repeater was still
busy. If you were using dstar simplex then timing out would of course not
be a problem.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>The dstar voice occupies about 6k bw and d-rats about 1.1 k BW and they
coexist by some protocol which I don’t know.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I hope this helps some. We have a dstar repeater on 25B usually but
we can put it on any node so if you want to try some file transfers using
rf dstar and coupled via the internet I would be glad to run some experiments on
reflector 15C which is a data reflector. I can change our dstar repeater
to reflector 15C anytime so if anyone wants to work via reflector 15C rf I would
be glad to give it a try. </DIV>
