Hi Dan:

I put an exception in the antivirus and that solved the problem with
email addresses. thx...
I really don't know a lot about d-rats, but in the outbox, presently
the emails get thru ok, however the winlink and callsign only addresses
get stuck and will not leave the outbox. I see the outbox is polled
periodically to move things or you can use the "send" dialog to move
things.

I'll leave it with you and gord, but I'll help if i can.
The expectation, of course, is not to run without antivirus turned on,
but rather to configure it to allow D-RATS to communicate with the mail
server.
The antivirus software already has exceptions in place for things like
outlook, telnet, and your browser. It doesn't know D-RATS so it needs
to be told that it's okay to let it communicate with the world.
How you do that will depend on your software and configuration, but
hopefully given the above you can figure it out.
Good luck!
