D-RATS can do many things, here's a short list:<br />
<br />
-radio-to-radio communications (chat, or messages) with a D-STAR radio or<br />
TNC (both sides have to be using the same thing, it wont work from a D-STAR<br />
radio to a TNC)<br />
-computer to computer communications (chat, or messages) over the internet<br />
using a reflector<br />
-computer to computer communications (chat, or messages) over the internet<br />
to the a D-STAR user over a DV Dongle<br />
-send and receive email over the internet (POP, SMTP, etc.)<br />
-forward messages received over RF to another RF station or the internet<br />
-forward messages received over the internet to an RF station <br />
<br />
it's all in the config setup. If it's not sending mail I would check two<br />
things first. do you have the "connected to the internet" checkbox set, and<br />
is your setup for sending mail right (ports, mode, accounts). then in the<br />
message you're trying to send out, do you have it formatted correctly (email<br />
address in the right place) and have you set it to forward messages, or told<br />
it to manually?<br />
<br />
Fill us in on what exactly you've tried/settings you're using for outgoing<br />
email (except passwords, don't share those!) where you're putting the email<br />
address, etc. and someone should be able to help you get it working. Also,<br />
post which version of D-RATS you're using, one of the betas or the final<br />
version of 3.1, etc.<br />
