<p class=MsoNormal>Ultimately, a couple of us here in Northern VA are experimenting
with applicability/use in events such as the Marine Corps Marathon. We may be
limited by the number of operators who actually have d-Star equipment, but
nothing ventured, nothing gained! We’re having fun.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoPlainText>> Problem of "wrong map" still exists. All I
see when I open the D-RATS<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>> Station Map window is "Me" in the middle,
and the label "Penagrande". When I<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>> expand the plot list at the bottom, it shows Me at
Latitude 0.0000/Longitude<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>> 0.0000. All this in lieu of my actual position near
Washington, DC.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>Well, that's actually better than the "No Data"
issue, so that's progress :)<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>> Current Latitude:38(deg)55.247<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>I bet this is the issue. My guess would be that I'm
not handling the<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>"degrees with decimal minutes" situation
correct. I'm expecting it to<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>be either "deg(deg)min'sec''" or
"deg.deg". If the lat/lon parsing<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>fails, then I just default to zero (not very helpful, I
know). Can you<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>convert to deg-min-sec form or decimal degrees and see if
that fixes<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>your issue? If it does, I'll see about figuring out
why it's not<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>behaving with what you're giving it.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoPlainText>Thanks!<o:p></o:p></p>
