Hmm, not sure what to say about that. The debug log does not show it
being started for a second time.

After you try and fail to start it, can you go to the terminal and run
the following:

  ps -ef | grep rats

And then do these two:

  cd
/Users/gomo2010/Downloads/d-rats-daily-02192012.app/Contents/Resources/d-rats/
  ./d-rats
