[drats_users] D-Rats and Hotspot

Won’t touch the board it is encased and I bought it ready constructed, if it won’t work it won’t work, strange though that the node itself through the software will send it’s co-ordinates via DPRS and the hotspot. GPS Data also passes through.

Does the hotspot board have a jumper (or software setting) that inverts the low speed data stream? With my DV Adapter I know that with some radios I have to move jumpers that invert the data or the radio at the receiving end  "beeps" but no data comes out.

  That makes sense - you stated earlier the radios are "beeping", so the port has to be open.

  Is it possible the hotspot is somehow inverting the d-rats data?

    Hi Dave,

    It sounds like something (like a firewall) is blocking data from the d-rats port. Try configuring d-rats to send a DPRS position report and see if it goes through.

      If I place the Mobile radio on the simplex frequency of the node (the same as the HT) the message pops up when sent. But I guess this is then direct not through the gateway or hotspot software.

      When my hotspot sends my periodic station position to Aprs.fi the map feature shows it up in D-Rats mapping and my hotspot shows up in the stations list to the right of the chat window.

      What am I doing wrong, it’s baffling me?
