Hi Dan. Ok. I understand.
Eventually to concentrate your effort for the very best with PACTOR 3 is
quite understandable.
But the much much cheaper SCS DSP TNC for ax25 only is another issue, and my
primary suggestion.
Good for 1K2 and 9K6 packet for all users, but as the really fringe benefit
it contains the so called Robust Packet Radio mode for HF modes.
Operates AX-25 like any other AX-25 tnc. RPR is just like "another speed
setting". Kind of works in a quasi pactor 2 mode.

This has so far not been implemented, but things may relatively soon change
here concerning this PACKET TNC.

So far I got a positive response on the reflector from John G8BPQ. This may
create an opening for this new packet mode into standard RMS PACKET.

Lets see what happens with RMS Express. That TNC is already in there for
Packet modes, so far only for 1K2 and 9K6.
