 We plan to create a regional iso-frequency utility-network, managed by
 local radioclubs. On DV call frequency (tbd) we want to create stations
 with these characteristics:
   1) georeferencial routing (dprs<->aprs-is) only for local RF stations;
   2) drats-repeater to connect italy-wide isofrequencies together;
 This kind of stations will be interconnected via internet or RF. We want
 to cover and interconnect *only* data part of DV use (georeference and
 messages like msg and chat). DV intended as digital voice *must* remain in
 local RF area.

 So, we need to share a serial port (very deprecated method with
 unpredictable results) or ask you to open a special port in the
 d-rats_repeater to gate RF DPRS stations to the javAPRSsrvr.

 We need this feature to the repeater because our servers are small, text
 mode linux boxes.
