 The first half of the log won't contain the error information, the last
 half will.

 Please close D-RATS, open it, immediately try to open the preferences, and
 then get the debug log.  That will make it small and only contain the
 context of the problem.

 The configuration format isn't backwards compatible, which means that if I
 change something major, then the config file changes format and thus an
 older version may not be able to read it.  I imagine this is what is
 happening.
