[drats_users] Macintosh

I can't get my Mac Book laptop to see the radio. I installed the Python software. I have plugged in my ID-1 into both of the USB ports on the Mac Book, with no luck. I have plugged in my ID-880, using a serial to USB converter. D Rats says "unable to connect" What am I doing wrong?
