 Unfortunately, I'm afraid this issue might be related to your use of Snow
 Leopard 10.6.  I don't have such a machine available, so there is not much
 I can do about this at the moment.

 If you'd like to try to follow the developer instructions to install the
 whole thing from source, you can give that a try.  As you might imagine,
 they're untested in 10.6:
